Fixing Our Streets and Sidewalks
Poor road conditions and broken sidewalks are more than an inconvenience. They’re a safety issue, and it’s time we do something about it.
The Problem We’re Facing in Ward 3
If you’ve driven around Ward 3 lately, you’ve felt it. The potholes are deep, the patchwork repairs don’t last, and some sidewalks are cracked or missing altogether. These conditions aren’t just frustrating — they put our safety at risk. Children walking to school, seniors out for a stroll, and drivers trying to avoid damage are all affected every day.
For too long, our streets have been overlooked. Promises have been made, but little has changed. Ward 3 deserves better. We pay taxes like every other part of Riverdale, yet we’re still waiting for real investment in our basic infrastructure. I’ve spoken to residents who are tired of filing complaints and never hearing back. We need more than patchwork — we need a long-term plan with real results.
How I Plan to Fix It
I will push for a street-by-street assessment of Ward 3, starting with the most dangerous areas. That information will be made public so everyone knows what’s getting fixed and when. I will also work to prioritize sidewalks near schools, parks, and churches, where safety matters most. These fixes can’t be pushed off any longer.
I believe in transparency and accountability. I’ll push for a published paving and repair schedule, and I’ll hold public works accountable for delays. We’ll also explore state-level infrastructure grants and partnerships to expand our budget. This is not just about fixing roads. It’s about showing Ward 3 residents that their safety, comfort, and voice finally come first.
Let’s Build a Better Ward 3, Together
I can’t do this alone. Whether you volunteer, donate, or spread the word, your support makes a difference.
